Marianna Tessel’s first job experience in the US and in Silicon Valley was a “magical” start-up experience that gave her a great blend of awesome mentors, a gender bias-free environment, and opportunities to hone her leadership skills. After her experience at this start-up, her career accelerated and she developed a well-deserved reputation as a breakthrough technical leader and a tough negotiator. There are so many things I appreciate about Marianna’s brand of leadership. If I had to name just a few, I would say that I appreciate how quickly she can learn new things, how she can thrive and lead in the midst of organizations that are experiencing huge growth and change, and her “empathy for what others might be going through.”
