Shilpa Lawande

Shilpa Lawande is a CEO and co-founder of the artificial intelligence start-up postscript.us in the healthcare space. An engineer and executive for several years, she developed the confidence to go out on her own. After graduating from IIT Bombay and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, both top schools, and while working as an engineer at Oracle, she made the bold decision to work at an early-stage start-up, Vertica Systems, where she went on to become vice president of engineering, running a 200+ person engineering organization. Though her decision was risky, it was also calculated, as she went to work for luminaries in the tech world. What gave her the confidence and experience needed to create her own new venture? Shilpa credits a strong network and her desire to always stretch her limits.
