Life experiences create lasting impressions. For Orna Berryman, the experience of being a civilian in a town turned war zone had a dramatic impact on her perspective as a leader in tech. Israel, Orna’s birthplace, has fought more than eight wars since 1948. Part of Orna’s infancy was spent in a shelter. Freedom of speech, bravery, and heroism, plus a strong democratic press, were the imprints of her childhood. In her twenties, she was a young mother who had to make a split-second life-or death decision as a civilian in a war zone. Orna later became a director of operations and program management in a technology-focused Fortune 500 company.
