Christine Martino is chief operating officer of cyber security, legal, compliance, and policy at Intuit. Before Intuit, she had an amazing career at Hewlett Packard, where she rose to vice president and general manager of cloud services. Christine achieved this level of success without a college degree. Her career was self-managed and self-directed, defined by a passion for new technologies and new business models and a strong entrepreneurial focus. As her career progressed, she was perceived as a change agent and a “fixer,” which enabled her to move into larger roles. Her mindset of being motivated by the next big challenge rather than titles helped her achieve big success in the tech industry, proving to be more valuable than a college degree.
